.44 magnum on a m1 carbine frame?

Saw an add in the free add paper for a pump action, magazine fed, .44 magnum on a M1 Carbine frame! He said it was used in the Bay of Pigs...i thought that it was a very cool sounding carbine...anyone know anything about this rifle? I have never heard of such a thing.

Universal made a few of them. Called the "Vulcan," I believe.
The Bay of Pigs stuff is BS.

From the Oct 1963 Shotgun News:

The Bay of Pigs occurred over a span of time in 1959 & 1960:

He meant the Bay of Pigs near Podunk-not THAT Bay of Pigs-which took place on April 17, 1961.
$99.95 in 1961 dollars-about $757.00 in today's dollars according to the one program I used.

The Ruger deerstalker was just coming out at about that time and they look a lot like an M1 carbine. Someone could be confused about which rifle. It is conceivable a 44 Ruger might have been used there.

Never mind, I missed the pump action part when I 1st read the OP.
