870's come pre-sighted?

Anyone know if the 870pm with rifle sights come sighted in at any particular range.

Will be sighting in a new one in and wanted to get an apprximate for slugs.

I recently got an 870 Police (18" bbl, parkerized, rifle sights - nice!) and it was good from the box with buck, about 2"-3" right and dead on elevation with Federal Tac slugs at 25yds. I think they're boresighted or averaged, but not fired with slugs at the factory.

Have fun sighting it in.

Last I heard,Coop, Big Green claimed that the rifle sighted, smoothbore bbls were set, not zeroed, for a close to POA hit with their 1 oz slug.

I'm a little skeptical, but admit the few factory sluggers I've dealt with were on paper right out of the box.

I'd start off benching it at 25 and getitng it on paper, then moving back to 50 and so on.Once set for your slug of choice, this'll show your trajectory, a nice thing to know.

HTH...
