s&w 2" model 10 with no box???
found a blue smith model 10 in 2" with no box and aftermarket grips. pretty clean and great action. the store will go $315.00 cash. is this is really good deal or a hard to find piece? i have plenty, but if it is harder to find i'd jump. please help.

This does not strike me as a "must do" deal. It's not a terrible deal, but it's not a bargain.
I'd be super excited if it were, say, $239, and somewhat excited if it were $259. Frankly, the store's "best" cash price is about where I think it should have been priced to begin with - pre-dickering. |

If you realy want one that bad I have a model 10 2" snub nose with the stock grips or the aftermarket ones with about 1000 rds through it and you can have the whole mess for $300.00

They are harder to come by than a 4", but not really a rare gun. They are good to shoot - the smooth k frame trigger and the solid weight make it a very accurate carry piece. I'd go with $300 maybe if it was really tight and felt right to my hand.
Or if you just really like it. It will cost more next year, if you want it, buy it. Mark |

My model 10 2" that I sold years ago was a square butt model. I bought it from a detective who only qualified with the gun one time and never carried it, sorta like Andy Griffith. I could'nt believe how accurate a 2" gun with fixed sights could be. I've never seen another one like it in my travels.
