AR Wood furniture

I found some old links for wood AR furniture but none of them seem to work. Does anybody have a source?

A wood forearm on an AR sounds like a good way to start a fire.

Wood on an AR?

These are supposed to have wood:

ARs are supposed to be made of plastic and some metal, railed to the hilt.

But if you must deface an AR, here you go: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts...prod38906.aspx

ARs only purpose is to be a versatile sa rifle. Im not playin army or preparing to kill zombies so no need to have 20 rails and night lights etc.... Wood provides the feel and high frequency dampening that other material dont. Not to mention there are not 5 other guys next to me that have the same thing.

Not my cup of tea, the laminate is too heavy for my taste on an AR...
But, Boyd's just released theirs...

An AK with nice wood is a thing of beauty. An AR? That is just strange.

Only if you have more money than sense .....

...there's at least one AK owner in that category:

I think the lighter wood looks odd. Maybe with darker wood or some grey stain or something of the sort might look better. I do agree that no one else at the range will have the same thing you would!

^^ Ouch^^

My brothers friend has an AR with wood furniture. With a 5 round mag it just looks like another hunting rifle to the uninitiated. Nice if you're trying to keep it low key.

And no it hasn't caught on fire yet

I have a rock river laminate set on a 9mm AR. they discontinued it. probably with good reason, my stock is cracked, the forend has a chunk missing and I don't abuse it that much.

as far as I know DPMS still has wood sets, then there's the ironwood and others already mentioned.

For what you pay for wood stocks, get a free float tube. Accuracy is were its at, not making you rifle heavier without improving its accuracy.
