I'm new to TFL and was wondering if there were any deer hunters out there who could give a guy a few tips on hunting, tracking, rifles of choice, loads, etc..........

Thanks,
Andy

What type of country are you hunting in? Are there any legal restriction as to what type of weapon is allowed? Several states require shotgun only. Don't know about Oregon though. There are several styles of hunting; stalking, still hunting, stand hunting, using dogs etc. Talk to a game warden/conservation agent/wildlife control lfficer or whatever they have in your state. They are usually a good source of information and most will gladly pass along that information.
