Glad they did not shoot me!

Well here is one for you shoot first guys. I was in ND hunting and we stayed in a small town of 11 people. The shower was broken in the place we were staying. No big deal the lady who owns the place we were staying told us to shower at her place. Its the third trailer on the right. Well i went to the third place on the right and went in like i was told and hit the shower. just as i was getting out a guy was hollering at me and threatening to shoot me. I told him i meant no harm and told him Liz sent me to shower. that calmed him down. i threw on my pants and went out and talked to him. It seems her directions were a bit off. I had the wrong trailer house. She counted and old dilapitated travel trailer not a real trailer house. any way we all had a great laugh and all was well. they came over to the bar and i bought them dinner. After that they told me i could use thier shower for the rest of the weekend and we all just laughed our asses off. If he would have been a trigger happy commando i would be dead and over what??? Luckily he was smart enough to know when he needs to pull the trigger and when not to. he just stayed outside while the sherrif was in route. when he heard who sent me and why he put it all together and knew it was cool.

Under the right circumstances, I could totally draw on a nude soapy guy!

If the guy felt in fear for his life because he caught an intruder in his home and ended up shooting you, would that have made him a dumb, trigger happy commando?

It's a good thing you weren't in the home of many who post here. All those that shoot to kill if anyone is found in their house regardless of circumstances!

Perhaps, perhaps not. Definitely would not put rounds into the shower at mine own house. My thoughts would be that an intruder who takes to the shower more likely needs to be shot with thorazine rather than #4 buckshot.

There would be a conversation and a phone call involved though. Glad it worked out okay for you. At least he let you finish your shower. A more machavelian personality may have turned the water off.

Good story, and glad it turned out well, but you do a disservice to your brethern here. I am not aware of a single scenario posited here where folks advocated shooting a nude soapy guy found in the shower.

Unless, of course, he's leering suggestively at you, in which case you hit him COM 'til slide lock.

Or if he's a nude soapy guy sitting at your kitchen table. Same response.

I vote he would be dumb also.

One thing to have a bead on target in shower maybe, but to pull the trigger with no real threat at the time would be really dumb.

A naked man isn't much of a threat...

If you'd been a naked man with a gun, bad directions or not...

Well...

Me too...Now, if a nude soapy guy started running at me with hungry eyes, well then there may be more than 1 mag emptied that day.

I agree totaly with you. how would you feel if you shot a guy who had mixed up directions?? if it would not bother you then you are a sick human being who has no value of human life! Guys like that scare me more than bad guys! I did not break to enter. I just had the wrong house. When it was all done the lady of the house was joking "if i knew it was you i would have sent my hubby to get the sheriff and i would have went in to investigate. Good sense of humor from a 65yr old lady!

You're lucky he wasn't armed with a camera.
Where'd I stash those old girly magazines? I gotta get the "soapy guy" image out of my head.

I read all the time on here, "intruder in my home, I'm shooting him!!".

See, this is why you identify the threat first.

Well, you were "brandishing a gun".... In a way.

If I was the home owner, I wouldn't have shot.
I I had been you, I probably would have been shot for dropping a ████ in some strangers shower.

This one's been fun, guys,... up until... *shudder*... I got this sudden mental image of Wildalaska being that "soapy guy" . (Just kidding, Ken. )

Seriously, there isn't much to accomplish here, other than to set our "shoot 'em all, let God sort 'em out" types apart from those with a more reasonable mindset .

Onward and upward.

Closed.
