Identification Help
I've got an old 410 bolt action that I need some help identifying. It was one that was inherited, so no real information on the age or where purchased. I've looked the gun over and can't find any markings anywhere. I've included pics of the firearm with and without the stock. If there are any specific parts that you need a closeup of, let me know and I will get them posted. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Mossberg (I think)
Not sure of the model. If you go to Numrich's website you might be able to match yours to one of the models from the schematics |

It looks like a Mossberg, but that company, one of the largest firearms manufacturers, is probably the least documented.

Your shotgun appears to be a Mossberg, made between 1948-85 variously as the Model 183, 184, 283 & 284, with each numeric model having two or more alpha sub-models (A, B, C, etc), made with either a 2 or 3 shot magazine in .410 only.
Other gauges, and the .410 single-shots, had a different series of model numbers. . |
