Smith & Wesson SD40VE...who has one?
I picked up a NIB Smith & Wesson SD40VE today for $279.99 which I think is a great deal since it is cheaper then the Sigma it is replacing. The display model has some rough untooled marks on the slide though and in dtween the serrations there were heavy circular tool marks. The burrs coming off the serrations were actually sharp enough to cut somebody. The salesman went in the back and brought me another that was finished fine. Seems like a QC problem there. Who has one of these and what are your thoughts? I just got it so I havent gotten to fire it yet but would like to know what I am in for.

I've been thinking of picking one up as a dedicated car gun. Let us know how it does for you. I'm very interested in hearing some range reports. I'd like to know if they improved the trigger much over the Sigma it replaces.

Thats one thing I have noticed the most. Its alittle different but it is not all that different. I mean it is new so maybe it loosens up some. It does break cleaner then the Sigma but it is long. It is a monster of a trigger pull compared to my Shield 9mm. It is a nice looking pistol but I think the Sig is alittle more ergonomic for my hand. It looks nicer but the trigger doesnt feel much different and the build seems about the same but for $279.99 thats CHEAP and even cheaper then another LGS has the Sigmas. I will shoot it soon and post my views on it.
