WHEW!! 1969 Dated M39's Sold out in 1 hour!

Classic Firearms had about 14 of these 1969 dated M39's that went on sale at 2 pm today, they all sold in about 1 hour for 700 bucks . I guess the 1968 dated M39 I bought from them some months back in virtually unissued condition has gone up in value. I think their marketing strategy on this M39 Monopoly they have going is GENIUS!!

This seems to be Classics new strategy. They promote the guns, make them sound wonderful, and like the last of their kind on earth, then jack up the prices. So far they have done this with k98s, M96s, etc., and in each case the sold out within a couple of hours getting up to twice the going rate. Can't blame them, when there are buyers out there willing to pay the price.

Same strategy applies to guns on Gunbroker. Sellers that are willing to take lots of quality photos, and take time to really describe the rifle will always get a better price.

I have to admit the late date Finns are great shooters. I've got a 68 that is scary accurate.

OK...
So it's no secret I'm a fan of this platform...and especially the quality of the Finn barrels...

But $700? You'd have to be NUTZ to pay that kind of money for a non-collectible rifle. So the receiver qualifies it as C&R- not my point...it's a MODERN rifle.

Would you pay $700 for 1970's era Remington 700?

Much as I dislike the "tactics", Classic is the marketing Trump of the C&R world.

Demand isn't there? Create it. Marketing hype- email blasts. GOTTA have at least ONE!

Sold off the Burns collection in a snap- when Pat couldn't do it over decades.

I think in the video about the '69 Dated M39 Sneaks on their site, he mentions they have some 1970 dated rifles. Oh BOY, I just can't wait to see what those bring.

Looks like you take the $399 for the standard Finn, then add $150 for the standard SKY stock, $170 for the SKY SAKO stock and the $200 SKY stock is sold out...lol. Well, who ever wants one sure doesn't need to worry about competing against me for one.
The 7mm Mauser's are sold out.

It is kind of dumb. There is no end in sight for the availability of Russian bolt guns. Unless import laws are changed, a lot of people are making bad investments.
