help idetifying an enfield no2 mk1
just got this and would like some help. is has no patent marks. has 38 cal stamped on top of the bbl, also 45 on top but opposit the 38 cal. serial number starts with ZH and 4 numbers. right side where you usaually see the patant numders is DH1. any help would be appreciated.Kyle

british WW2 pistol made by enfield works.shoots 38 S&W cartridge. good gun.

They were also made by Albion Motors, a contract later taken over by Coventry Gage, and by Howard Auto Cultivators in Australia. Production by the last was very limited.
The .38 is the caliber, the "45" the year of production. I don't have info on the serial numbers, though. Jim |
