Used an O/U for the first time.

My friend brought it and I loved it.

It was a Browning Citori 625 Sporting with a 28inch barrel 12 gauge.

It took about 60 shells to get used to it but in the end I had 12/13 clays (but then ran out of ammo other wise would have gotten more).

But man was that thing nice.

Made my friends 870 look like a Ford Model T

Granted I will probably never afford one even used but man was that thing nice.

Those guns aren't really that expensive in the grand scheme of things - targets and ammo will run you many times more than the cost of the gun over its lifetime. It sure IS nice firing a quality gun with somewhat better balance and handling though, isn't it???

Over Unders are great fun to shoot. They point and swing so much nicer than the shuckers or auto loaders.

You say you can't afford one, but you won't be able to NOT buy one.

I like the way you think.

I decided a few weeks ago that I would be purchasing a new firearm come next summer (just got a scope and some other stuff and getting a suit for Christmas). But I have time to look for a nice used gun or just save like heck. I am thinking a TCA Encore Pro Hunter or an O/U but it is really hard, but I have 11 months to mull it over.

This summer I will try and get my 22lr skills to be able to hit a 1 inch target at 75 yards every time, off hand (have not tried with a scope yet but am getting better with open sights) and then more into other things.
