Place to shoot

I am thinking about moving to Waynesville in North Carolina, But only if there is a place nearby to shoot. Does anyone know of a place to shoot near there, either a formal shooting range or otherwise?
Thanks in advance

Are you thinking about living in more of a suburban environment or more out in the country?

If you opt for somewhere more in the country you might be able to find somewhere with enough space to simply have to walk outside and shoot. I would look for 10+ acres with a hillside to shoot into.

Waynesville is pretty out in the country, even with moderately nearby neighbors, country folk are accustomed to it enough that it won't annoy them too much.

There's an indoor pistol range in Asheville (20 minute drive from Waynesville).

Then there's the outdoor ranges maintained by the Forestry Service- One in Sylva, one in Franklin. They'd be about a 30-45 minute drive from Waynesville.

Use Where To Shoot.org online. They will list by zip code all the ranges in that area, with details, and links, etc.

Unspoken, if the range you're talking about is "On Target" I think it should be mentioned that they are rimfire only.
