Steyr Scout experiences?
Hi! Has anyone here own or have shot a Steyr Scout in .308? How's it shoot? Does it have smooth action, is it accurate? They have me really interested!

On my side of the pond it is called the Elite. No personal experience but I asked a similar question, but only got lukewarm feedback from forum members.
Seems affecionados of this rifle, like you and I, are few and far between. From the videos I have seen, then seem to be accurate and well-made, although in the case of the Scout/Elite the intergral bipod is not supposed to be so robust. Either way, I think Steyr rifles are quality kit: probably the best I could get locally... I like it, but if I were to stretch to a high-end Steyr, I'd go for the SSG 69

one of the best production rifles out there. Comparing other "scout" offerings out there show that they are not even in the same game let alone ball park. Accurate, points well, a great hunting rifle.
