1851 navy custom grips
I sent a couple of revolvers off a while back to have some custom grips installed.
These 1851 navy grips are American holly, and they were done by Chris Whisler at Chisel and Plane Workshop in Cincinnati, OH. Fit and finish on these are absolutely flawless. Turn around time was about 5 months from ordering, but about 8 weeks from sending in the revolver. Cost was about $200 with shipping. Chris' customer service was also excellent. I can highly recommend his shop if you are looking for grips Chaz |

Nice grips for sure! They sure do dress up that Navy! Nice to see someone else appreciating the '51 . . . but then it IS the only true "perfect" revolver. Not that I'm partial or anything . . . . LOL
Thanks for sharing with us!

Them's pretty spiffy! The endearment is worth the coin, I'm sure.
I am quite certain I know of nobody else with American Holly grips on anything I've ever seen!

Yes, my Single Six carries American holly grips, custom made by Cary on the Ruger forum (for half the price mentioned above). They're finished with Tru Oil and have yellowed significantly.
