Need stock
Hello, I have an stainless EMF 1892 short rifle in 45 colt. The stock is splitting. Started at the front under the lever and has gotten longer over time. I can now see it on the top of the stock just behind the tang. I think that there's no saving the old one.
Do I go back to EMF for a replacement or somewhere else? Money is an object, I'm not rich. I'm also not skilled in wood working. Thanks for any and all ideas.

Try EMF first. Custom made stocks can be very expensive.
If looks are not real important most splits can be repaired at small cost. Brownell's sells threaded brass rods that can be put in split stocks for a very good repair. |

Go to Numrich www.e-gunparts and get a stock for a 92 Winchester.
