High Standard HD Military age?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me when this gun was built? High standard HD military 22lr Serial #2732XX. Thanks in advance.

Probably 1946 or early 1947
The HD was the only HS pistol made during & immediately after WWII, and by 1947 they were turning out a hammerless 'H' model. Could have been pre-war, but I don't have any ser# info, just ads from old Gun Digests

The HD Mil is a post war gun if thats how the slide is marked, the ww-2 guns are marked differantly.Pre war HDs are a hammerless gun too.
