do you know, you can still buy new SKB's...

here's the current catalog I received in the mail from Guns Unlimited, Omaha, NE. GU was the company who bought the name SKB and all their inventory including tons of new shotguns, parts and accessories. They are also looking at re-tooling and beginning production again, here in the states maybe.

Anyway, I scanned a few pages out of the current 2012 catalog so you guys could take a look. Wow...

They should have enough to last a while, but if they don't find a manufacturer soon things could change.

Why they haven't been someone yet is beyond me - maybe its a financial thing

word has it that they have been talking to Miroku. Remember, Guns Unlimited is the outfit who had Browning/Miroku produce all those special runs of the Special Sporting Clays O/U in all gauges. GU is big time...

I bought one of the Target Super Sports right about the time they went under. I spoke to the folks in Omaha and they said they had a minimum of 10 years worth of spare parts. I let a friend borrow it for a match and he ended up buying it. They are alot of gun for the money.

I can't speak high enough regarding my sole SKB. This one is a Weatherby/SKB 20g/28" Orion Classic III field model with a beautiful hand-rubbed finish and it's super strong Greener style cross bolt...

My old 600 is a plain jane o/u that make me look good.

If the new ones provide that level of satisfaction, they'll be flying off the shelves....
