Lock & Load speed sabot

Anybody have any accuracy issues the Hornady lock n load speed sabots, the ones where you slide a couple pellets onto a plastic shaft connected to the sabot, and then trim whats sticking out?

Click on the user reviews for them on the Cabela's site. Some of the reviews are about the sabots and some are about the different bullets that come with them.

I search on Huntingnet.com and read some threads about them and they seem to be well liked by those who chose to use them. The folks who don't use them are skeptical and think that they're unnecessary.

I'm having trouble getting new rifle/scope sighted in. Using 777magnum pellets/2= 100grs and 777 209 primers. I,m thinking that when trimming the leftover shaft on the L-N-L's there was a little sticking out, or when I swabbed with a wet patch there was some moisture still in the barrel. Going to try again this weekend.

If they don't work out then there's only so many things that can be changed.
Whether it's the pellets, the brand of primer or powder, the method of swabbing, verifying that there aren't any problems or looseness with the scope, rings or mount, or not sighting it in at a reasonable distance like 50 yards before moving beyond that. And then there's always switching the bullet sabot combination itself since there's so many different ones available, why get stuck using only one of them if it doesn't perform well enough from your rifle?
Which rifle model, primer, scope and anything else that you can tell us about your gun & loads, such what you've tried shooting out of it in the past that led you to select the Lock-N-Loads? How did your old sabots shoot or is this a new rifle?

Rifle is a CVA Kodiak .50 cal. Scope is a Zeiss 1.5 X 5, 2- 50 grain pellets of 777 magnum, 777 209 primers, Hornady .250gr lock n load sabots. Sighted in at 50 and 100 yrds. I'm having "flyers" at both yardages. At 100 yards it is still about 6 inches high. Winage is center but I'm about out of adjustment for it. I had read that a wet swab after each shot should be done if using 777, so I was doing that. Maybe I was reloading to quickly and there was still moisture in the barrel, or I didn't let the barrel cool adequately between shots. Also when I trimmed the "stick" that the pellets lock onto, there was a little left sticking out, that may have prevented proper seat. Many variables here, so am going to shoot again in a couple days paying close attention to the issues I outlined. Have I missed anything?

Some folks just find pellets to be inconsistent while they work fine for others.
It's the same with sabots and certain guns.
You can switch the powder and see if that helps or switch to another projectile.
The 777 Magnum pellets are like loading 120 grains of Pyrodex. That's not necessarily bad but how can you adjust the load?
Moisture can be dried out of a barrel by swabbing with each side of a dry patch, and swabbing with 92% alcohol in between cleaning & drying swabs can also help to remove moisture if that's the problem but I sort of doubt it.
