I have RCBS Carbide pistol die sets. Most of mine were purchased in the early 80's but for the .357 sig I purchased the Hornady die set.
I have a RCBS rock chucker press purchased in 1979 and still going strong. |

Biggest difference
As far as I can tell, the biggest difference between Lee Dies and all the other brands is that Lee supplies the shell holder and the others don't. $4 of $5 may make a difference in your purchase decision, but when you amortize the price difference over you shooting career, it is next to nothing.
Then there is the packaging. I like the RCBS plastic box. The Lee cylindrical container is OK, cut when I had to pack up my gear into a footlocker, rectangular containers take up a lot less space. In operation, RCBS and Lee have not made any difference to me (9mm, 357 Mag, 45 ACP, 44 Mag, 45 Colt, 454 Casull). Good luck, Good shooting, and don't pinch your fingers in your press. Lost Sheep. |
