Not on a Norinco, but I am shooting IDPA with a Hi-Viz on my Caspian slide 1911. Working fine, so far; but if it was a carry gun I would want something sturdier, one of the F.O. sights in a cross-dovetail, maybe. You will likely need a taller rear sight with the Hi-Viz (or any other F.O. front sight I have seen.)

On N#1, I have a MMC rear and a Millett dual crimp front but that is not a real high visible type front. The slides are tough, enough to suprise my smith when milling the rear for the MMC sight.
FWIW and all that.
