O ring replacement
Anyone ever replaced the O ring for the collet of your impact bullet puller? If so where did you find the O ring.
Happy New Year!! Thanks, Bill

Find someone that works for a maintenance dept in a factory, give them the collet and they can get you one.
Hardware stores usually have assortments of them that you can pick or choose from. or You could call the mfg of it and if it is RCBS they will probably send you some for free. |

You can use the shell holder from your press instead of that collet thing. works real well, nothing to break.

Jeff2131, when I pull 50 caliber bullets, it stretches my "O" ring plenty. I would consider a larger one, except for the fact that 1) I don't have that many to pull and 2) I can manage with the one I have. This may be short-sighted. But, if I want to follow my own advice (above) I might visit my local hardware store this weekend. Lost Sheep p.s. Yeah, right. It's cold out and the 500 S&W belongs to my friend. Let him get his own bullet puller. |

I don't know what size the bullet puller uses, but I just got some replacement O-rings for my Lee trim die from the plumbing department at Home Depot. A package of 10 was $2.50

Horrible freight stores sell a couple of O-ring kits with 100, 200, or 330 o-rings of various sizes. I keep a couple of sets for general mechanic and homeowner use. On sale for anywhere from 2.99 to 9.99 usually.
