Does anybody know what the "c" stands for and if it makes any difference?

I believe that designation means the adjustment increments are MOA instead of Inches, and designates a design change made in the mid 80's

Checking my spread sheet, I have (4) scope that are vari x IIc:
2x7 1997
2x7 1994
3x9 1992
1x4 1999

They are all on rifles, I found one, and sure enough, it says "moa".

Are we a nation of competing ideas, or a nation of forced conformity of thought?
