500% gun and ammo tax

I have heard rumors (and thats all they are at the moment) of a 500% tax being imposed on the sale of firearms and ammo. has anyone else heard of this and is there any validity to it? if its true I will start stocking up on ammo as quick as i can.

this would mean that a $15.00 500 round box of .22's would cost $90.00 and $30.00 50 round box of .45 ACP is going to cost $180.00. this would severly limit the time I spend at the range.

would you still be able to order online and get ammo tax free?

Yep, that's a rumor. Google it or search here for details.
