My Walther book states it was made in 1938 -1939and if no miltary marking was a cilivilan sales. The Crown and N was the German proof mark which was replaced in 1940 by a eagle over an N. With out more information it is difficult to give a value. However. a plain PP is listed at 450 to 500 in exc. Be advise, PPs and PPKs are almost as bad as Lugers because of all the variations. The right marking on the slide ( with in the correct serial number range) can jump the price up to 2500 dollars. Good luck

The part of the marking you seem unsure of is Zella-Mehlis (Thur.). Zella-Mehlis (originally two cities), in the state of Thuringia was the pre-WWII location of the Walther factory. It was in the old Russian zone (East Germany) so after the war, Walther moved to Ulm, in Donau (Danube) state in (then) West Germany.
