Is EAA the worst company to deal with?

Does everyone have a problem with this company? Why does Tan use them as an importer. I have not been able to get an honest answer from them. Has anyone one else.
Would you buy a Tan again after having to deal with EAA

I haven't bought a Witness because of the reports I've seen on this board.

Bought a 22lr conversion kit from them. Had a couple problems w/ it. Took them only 3 days to fix it and they returned it w/ 2 new mags. They did ok by me.

I think you may be one of thevery few who have recieved good service from them.
How did you do it?
The other 75% of the people would like to know.
I love the tan pistol, but if something isn't right they will make you sorry you bought the pistol

I've had great service from EAA!
I think it all depends on how you start the conversation-with EAA or anybody else.

Tropical Z,

I completely agree with your philosophy regarding etiquette in general, however, I must disagree with your statement regarding a "customer prompt" for poor service from EAA.

As a standard rule, I go out of my way to treat all people (and companies) with as much respect outright as I would wish from others. After the pleasant conversation I enjoyed with the customer service representative at EAA, I was under the impression that my Witness was in capable hands. The repertoire was jovial, and in no instance did I ever expose my disappointment with their product.
There was no indication of even the slightest degree of animosity towards me from the any of the phone conversations I had with EAA over a three month period.

All attempts to have the problem rectified (except perhaps for the third and final attempt) were handled with as much cordiality and patience as humanly possible....

In all, I received a great disservice from EAA, certainly through no fault of my own.

EAA experiences...

kbsrn & all,

For those that are not familiar with my experiences regarding EAA and a Witness Compact in 10mm with a Wonder finish, please review the following links:

http://talk.shooters.com/room_30/20419.cfm

http://pub69.ezboard.com/fczechpisto...opicID=8.topic

These links will provide varied experiences that some shooters have had in dealing with EAA or in owning and shooting a Tanfoglio CZ "clone" pistol design.

I believe that I communicated to EAA my concerns in a reserved, professional adult manner. Read the posts found on the provided links and draw your own conclusions.

EAA

My experience with them as been very unhappy. I started out very pleasant, but by the end I was sorry I bought the pistol. The pistol is great, EAA is the worst.
I don't know why Tan uses an importer that seems to be determined to upset as many customers as possible. I wish that I had read some of these posts before I bought the pistol. They all seem to sum it up this way, great pistol, lousey customer service.
I hope Tan reads these posts and asks questions.

A dealer friend of mine (gunshop not just an FFL holder) absolutely refuses to do business with them anymore. In fact, if you bring up the subject his face gets red and he starts cursing. Don't think I want to go there.

Me too

This seems to be a pretty stanard reaction to them. I know that is how I react when I talkabout them.

I too have had problems with EAA. As a result, will NOT buy a thing from them. Given the way that EAA does things, is it possible that someone senior in their organization is from a software (not to mention MICROSOFT's name) company. They both seem to run by the same MO :barf:

Don't know about the worst, as I've not had to deal with any other company. However, my experience with EAA has not been pleasant. I love my compact 10mm Witness, but cannot get any kind of technical service from EAA on the gun. I sent three separate e-mails regarding replacement of recoil springs and have yet to receive a sensible response.

The reason is

Becuase they don't know their own product. If you ask them a question they rarely answer it, or answer it the same way twice. They also try to make you feel stupid for asking the question.

A resounding NO. Absolutely Philips electronics is the worst company I've ever dealt with. EAA is a pussycat comparatively speaking.

They're right up the road from me in Cocoa.

I broke the bolt on my IZH 60 Baikal air rifle when I bought it. Within a day of me asking EAA about a replacement, it was in my mailbox, free of charge. Not bad.

BTT and why

After the way they treated me I am going to keep the BTT going. They are an awful company that treats customers like crap.
