257 Roberts Load ?
Is anyone loading the 110 grain Nolser Accubond with H-4350 powder, in their 257 Roberts? If so, care to share your load data? Looking for something in the +P area. If not H-4350, any recommendations on loads for this bullet?
I also have Varget and H-4895 on hand. Thanks, Dave |

There are only 4 SAAMI designations of +P and NO +P+ exist, and these are only for pistol. Cartridge and Maximum Average Pressure (PSI) 9mm Luger 35,000 9mm Luger +P 38,500 38 Special 17,000 38 Special +P 18,500 38 Super Auto +P 36,500 45 Auto 21,000 45 Auto +P 23,000 At Nosler's web site, in the loading data they have loads listed, one is for Varget. All their accurate loads are listed below max charge weights. http://www.nosler.com If you are anything like I was as a starting reloader, I wanted the fastest load I could get. I soon learned they were not always accurate. I also found out that Joe Blows pet load was only specific to his weapon. I do my workups with every powder/bullet combination I try. My goal is to get the most accurate load. If it also is the fastest, then thats a bonus. Good Shooting!

Speer #12 has 257 Roberts +P. Hornady sixth edition talks about it to. From the standard 45,000 cup, to 50,000 cup of the +P. Bitman Sorry, I cant help you. I love my 257, but I only use it for varminting with 75gr's as its a heavy bull barrel and too heavy to pack around. Last edited by reloader28; December 27, 2009 at 09:00 PM. |
