Rugger Vaquero Hammers?
OK, I have two 4&5/8th inch .45LC stainless steel Vaqueros (1 original and 1 new). I dont like the hammer on the New Vaquero and would like to swap it out for an original Vaquero/Blackhawk hammer. First of all would this work, would it fit? If anyone has one theyd part with please let me know. Thanks.

I fiddled with my Vaqueros over five years until I became so disgusted by Ruger I sold 'em...
then went out & bought a pair of Colts for S.A.S.S. shoots. Do the same, you'll be a happier man. . And if you ever meet a Ruger employee, beat 'em like a redheaded stepchild for the crud they're turning out.

Rugger Vaquero Hammers?
I've switched hammers in several different Ruger single actions, but I haven't tried the new hammers yet. However, I'm sure they will fit with no problem. Midway can sell you new hammers (for the old models). In my opinion, if Bill Ruger would have been in business 100 years ago, there would be no Colts SAA. Ruger's last forever, and usally give their owner's very few problems. I should know, I own 21 single action Rugers.
