New Glock 19
Just got a call from my LGS and they have my brand new Glock 19 in today. I don't know if it is a gen 4 or a gen 3, will not be able to pick it up till morning. I asked them what the blue label price is and I'm getting it fot $389 plus tax. You just have to love Glock's pricing.

I have a Gen 3 and a Gen 4 and like 'em both. Paid $425.00 for the Gen 4 with GSSF pricing. They were almost $600.00 on the other end of the counter.

this will be my second 19, my girl took over my first one leaving me with my 17,22 and 23. I think if it is a Gen 4 she will want to trade me mine back for the new one. I do love my Glocks

A firefighter? Do you guys carry whle on duty? If not, I completely fail to see why you'd get a discount. I mean, it's obviously up to the store, since it's their money, but I don't get that at all. Why don't ministers and chiropractors get the discount?
Enjoy the gun, nonetheless.

From the Glock site, regarding the "Blue Label Program":
"GLOCK is proud to offer the exclusive Blue Label program to support those who protect and serve communities across the U.S. and around the world. Those who qualify (Law Enforcement, LE Academy Cadets, EMT/Firefighters/Paramedics, Military Personnel, Corrections Officers, State Licensed Armed Security Officers, Court Judges, District Attorneys, and Deputy D.A.s)" "Military" even includes retirees, so it's pretty obvious that Glock isn't trying to limit Blue Label sales to only those guns that will be used "on duty". |

I found out about this program a few years back after I already had my 17 and 22. Since finding I qualify it has been hard to justify buying a different make of pistol. I can't seem to bring myself to paying more for a M&P or XD when I like Glock and the price is right.

Especially since it costs Glock less than $80 dollars to manufacture a pistol...

I have no issue with first responders, paramedics and firefighters, getting the discount. A lot times it's a thankless job, seems the least that can be done. And it's Glock choosing to do it, their company their policies. SIG does the same deal.

My brother just bought a Sig 2022 .40 cal with night sights with 3 magazines for $450. A little gift for himself after his third trip to the sand box. He is the one that let me know I qualified for Glock's blue pricing.

Well, I sent them an email, and they sent me the forms. Looking at what I can find on it, it looks like I qualify.
So, umm. . . Wahoo!

Glock should add teachers and school administrators to the program...hmm...maybe time to send an email. (No, I'm neither, I just think it would be a good gesture, given the times.)
