Hey Carl which forend did it end up being 6 3/4 or 7 3/4? I have the same gun and thought wood would make it not look like an evil black rifle to my wife.

Crazy Carl,
Congrats on your new stock, You Right the Factory Recoil Pad is pretty hard.
You could easily remove it and install a new Packmyer and it would really help. I dont know what it is about short guns, but they do recoil harder. Good luck Man. |

SRRMIKE- It's the longer one. I guess the "tactical" models & the 835s are the only ones still using the longer forends.
TX Hunter- Just got a "grind to fit" LimbSaver in & gonna lop 1/2" to 1" off the stock before installing it. Fits decently now, but fondled a bunch of my long guns back to back & prefer the shorter LOP of my SKS, so taking 'er down to 13" LOP or so. |
