starting load for 223 rem ?
I have some 68 gr Hornady match FMJBT bullets and my Lyman manual doesn't show this bullet. Could anyone tell me the starting and max load using H335 powder ?

The hornady 9th edition book list a 68 gr BTHP with h335 Starting load at 21.3gr and max load at 23.8gr with a c.o.l at 2.250.I use these bullets in my ar's with IMR-4895 With awesome results.

you might check out Hodgdons data page. They show a listing for a 69 grain bullet.

Thank you guys, I will start loading at 21.3 and go up in 2/10th increments.
My ar is a 16" 1 in 8 twist barrel and shows a sweet spot for OAL of 2.230 with 55 gr bullets. Should I load the 68 gr to the same OAL or try the 2.250 OAL ? |

Rebs, bullets that we try are usually found in a manual printed by same company.. Call Grand Island Neb. and talk with someone that made that bullet..
