Millett sights for MK-k
Can the fixed sights on the MK-4
be replaced with adjustable sights, such as Millet? If not, would it be effective to use a red dot on a tapered barrel of this length (4 - 3/4")? |

SRT2, I haven't been asked to install them but I believe the Millet sights would work. It seems like they offer a sight for the standard Ruger. I really can't answer about the red dot. I would think so but I've never owned a pistol with one on it. George

RE: MK-4
George,
What I'm trying to do is decide between the MK-4 standard and a MK-4BL which is the Lipsey production that is a 4" bull barrel with adjustable sights. I like the MKII 512 but find the front end to be too heavy to be comfortable for me. The MK-4BL w/bb, I thought would be a good option to that. On the other hand, the standard MK-4 feels good and points well. I just wondered about the need for adjustable sights for plinking and target shooting at the range. Therefore the question of the ability to put adjustable sights on the standare MK-4. IF adjustable sights are not really important for the uses I stated, then the standard MK-4 would be satisfactory for me. But, if the 4" bull with adj. sights is the better option, I would rather consider it. Hope all of this makes sense. |
