Japanese Type 30 Bayonet Trainer?

Looking to find out some more information on this piece. I haven't come across any that have this number plate on the handle and I am also looking to find out what this piece might be worth. Thanks!

*I have a total of 8 pics. Please see below.

FWIW, I have not seen any with that kind of number plate. That one is very crude, though, and I wonder about it even being genuine and not some sort of repro that was never intended to be put on any rifle.

Thanks, Jim. I got this off of a GI that brought it back when he came home after WW2. I also got a Japanese phrase book given to him by the War Department in 1944. I have yet to see one with the number plate on it and have been trying to find out its story.

Looking at picture #8, I don't see how that bayonet would ever fit on a rifle. Those training rifles and bayonets were pretty crude, but they were usually well enough made to work (within the obvious limitations), and they were all made in relative peaceful times, so no "last ditch" trainers.
