I have a 20", improved cylinder 870 barrel with rifle sights. Is there enough steel at the muzzle to thread it for choke tubes? I'd like put a Patternmaster choke tube in it.

They can do this for you, although it may be cheaper to simply buy a new barrel that is already threaded for removable chokes. |

Not sure about Patternmaster but Briley can certainly thread an 870 barrel for choke tubes. They've put tubes into barrels a lot thinner than anything Remington has manufactured.
