I've always thought that for a shooting trick to be meaningful to other shooters, it has to be something they can relate to. The last trick shooter to perform at our club made some routing shots from the hip and then concentrated of shooting melons and eggs and such. His reception was pretty ho-hum. Most folks couldn't care less if he was going to do tomatoes or oranges next, they were wondering who was going to clean up the mess he was making. With the advent of video on demand, it's easy to watch any number fools shoot holes in the sky on Youtube.
Rather than tossing targets from your toes, how about demonstrating how many ways you can break a standard pair of Skeet doubles from Station 4. I'd like to see a pair cleanly broken with the gun held stiff-armed above the head. Or, for a very traditional demonstration of skill, shoot a 100-straight NSSA targets and 100-straight ATA targets on the same day. |

I dont have a legitimate skeet range near by.... Its just a big patch of dirt where I can go shoot stuff...
I dont like to shoot fruit because its a waste and someone will have to clean it up. But not at this range, the animals will get it because the range is a big field...

I do, however, have a goal to get 25 clays in a row of repeaters or 25 singles from a trap box : )
