You're going to like it. My impact likes T/C shockwave sabot/slugs. I think you can get an equivalent Hornady SST bullet and sabots for cheaper (same thing I think), but I got the shockwaves for discount. Picked up a bunch of them.

I have heard the same thing about the T/C Shockwaves and Hornady SST's. I have also heard alot of praise for the Barnes Spitfire TMZ. I'll probably give those a try as well.

What kind of groups are you getting with the shockwaves?

To be honest I only sighted in at 50 yards, on a bench rest with sand bags, since most of my shots are under that distance anyway. They touch each other at 50 yds, clover leaf pattern. I sight in 2" high at 50 yds. I'm confident in myself out to 150 yds with it, but I'm sure the Impact is more capable than I am.

I went ahead and ordered two boxes of the Barnes Spitfire TMZ 250gr to try out. Now if I can just find some Blackhorn 209 locally... I really don't wanna have to pay that hazardous shipping charge.

Does anyone know if any of the big chain stores carry it year round?

Also what is the best primer to use with it? I know you are supposed to use shotgun primers, not the special muzzleloader ones. I've seen alot of tested loads with it using CCI 209 M primers. Would they be the best to start with?
