Steiner Binos question

I just got a pair of Steiner Hunting 8x30 binos in a trade deal. Anybody know anything about them? I know they are discontinued now. Trying to get an approximate age on these.

Anybody got a ballpark on what they would be worth?

All Steiners are great binoculars. The glass, coatings etc. are superb. They shoud bring $150+ if you have a case for them and they are in good condition. Steiners generally sell close to what Swarovski, Leica's etc. sell for. Before the hard times set in I owned a few including some Perrigrins...God how I miss them.

I don't have any idea of the value, but I used Steiner binocs during my last couple of years in the Army. Our Battalion was issued Steiners during the latter years of my career and they were remarkably better binocs than the ones they replaced. Rugged as hell, great glass, altogether a remarkable binocular. Ours were issued as 10X50.
