Found an old Hopkins & Allen 5 shot break top revolver.
ACME Hammerless No. 1
32 cal. Centerfire.

Its in about 50% condition.
Nothing in the Blue Book. Any ideas?

Standard Catalog of Firearms 17th Edition page 605. H&A revolver with birds head grip. Good 400, Fair 175, Poor 75. Has a round-ribbed (hex) barrel with trade names as: Acme, Blue Jacket, Captian Jack, Chichester, Defender, Dicator, Hopkins & Allen, Imperial Arms Co., Monarch, Mountain Eagle, Ranger, Tower's Police Safety, Universal and XL.

Hopkins and Allen was a major arms company, operating from 1867 to 1917 when they went bankrupt. They used the name Hopkins & Allen Manufacturing Company before 1896, so your gun is at least that old.

H&A made guns of reasonable quality. Though not up to Colt or S&W, they were a cut above some of the other makers of the period.

While H&A turned out revolvers and other guns in bewildering numbers and models, there is only minimal collector interest, and then mostly in guns in very good to excellent condition.

My guess as to value of that gun would be around $100-150 to the right buyer.
