Ok, is Dan Wesson with CZ, how can I find one of his?

I hadn't looked at those at all, they might be affordable, something that might interest me.

Check Buds and GA. Could be a few bucks more, but DWs are fine.

Looked on GB.com...looks like used would be the only way I could afford one so it looks like I am still looking at Springfields then. By the looks of things all signs are pointing to the Springfield Mil-Spec or the Para SSP models if I can't get my hands on one of those.

Sounds like you need to head back to the drawing board... SW1911!!!

Why you ask?

1. Made in the USA
2. High quality parts
3. Lifetime Warrenty
4. Reliable from the box
5. Flawless External Extractor

Springer makes a great 1911 also, but not made (only assembled in the USA). Just thought you may want to reconsider.
