Replacement for MMC Adj rear sight for 11911?

I have a Kimber Custom Royale with a Brazos Lighning Rod front sight and an MMC adjustable rear. While shooting to requalify for my carry permit last weekend, the sight insert on the rear sight fell out and was lost in the sands of the Albuquerque Shooting Park.

So, in the course of trying to contact MMC (their website hasn't been upgraded since 2007 -) or finding a replacement at the major parts vendors (e.g. Brownell's, MidwayUSA), I have come to the conclusion that MMC is out of business, and MMC parts are out of stock.

My question: Do any of you fine craftsmen know of a replacement that will fit the MMC dovetail (specifically, MMC part no. 20201525 - 1911 ADJ REAR White Outline) or of someone who might have said part still available?

Thanks,
M2

As I recall, the MMC was designed to fit the Novak Low Mount dovetail; so a low mount Novak fixed sight should fit. If you want an adjustable sight, Kensight has one that fits the Novak fixed sight cut. If you want the Novak adjustable sight, you will have to have a little flat cut in front of the dovetail.

Thanks for your help, guys. It appeasr that the MMC cut is the same as the Novak, so no shortage of replacement sights available, now on to the research phase . . .

Thx,
M2
