RN FMJ .357 bullets

I would like to know if anyone knows of a source where one can obtain .357 diameter Round Nose Full Metal Jacketed bullets, preferably with a cannelure. I have been trying to locate some for quite a while and have not been able to. Any ideas where one might find them?

The second admendment GUARANTEES the other nine and the Constitution!

Sierra Makes A 170 gr. FMJ/RN Match Tournament Master #8350 (sierra's Number) for the .357 the bullet has a cannelure.

The only other option is the 130 gr FMJ's w/cannelure that Winchester loads in their white box mil style .38's. A friend of mine loads them up himself for his .357 Mag.

That is about it for RN bullets. If you can use TC of FP style, there are more choices as far as weight.

Funny you should ask--

Elder Son and I just finished loading up a couple of hundred in .38 Spl cases for steel plate shooting.

Data from box: 38 CAL 130 FMJ BALL

ZIP might not be correct--printing is a little blurred. I am sure of the 4-2-8 digits. No phone shown, no URL--You might run a search, or phone LD information.

These are jacketed bullets, not plated. They have the cannelure, and appear to be identical to the military RN ball bullets--What is the cartridge? M41, I think.

Hornady shows a 125 FMJ-RN, their number 3557, for the .38 Super auto.

NOT FMJ, but strongly-built and probably non-expanding at handgun velocities are two more Hornady bullets made especially for metallic silhouette slaying:

number 3572 JTC-SIL, at 160 gr and
number 3577 JTC-SIL, at 180 gr.
Both have cannelures, thick jackets, and the jacket goes all the way forward, with little lead exposed.

I am curious as to the intended application . . .

Based on my experience with the Hornady .430 JTC-SIL bullet I would highly recommend the Hornadys in Johnny's post. Super accurate and hit like a sledge hammer. Good stuff.

Master Match makes a 130 grain .357 bullet with a cannelure. Last time I got them was from Wideners for about $45/1000 shipped. Good bullets and they speed load like greased snot.
