send gun off to get dipped

I'm going to send my 870 off to get that film transfer process done. It has a wooden stock on it now. I was thinking about buying a shurshot, but after holding one I found I like nothing about that style. Has anyone had this process done? Would the film hold better on a synthetic stock?

Should I just save my money ($195 + if I buy a new stock) and buy some spray paint?

Check out Cabelas.com for camo 870 stock sets. They have all kinds of patterns for under $100. I am under the impression that a camoed gun attracts more hunters than deterring game. That way you can keep your original set as well. Mark

WOW !!
That sounds awfully high for a stock set. I installed on earlier this year and it cost me $60.00. I also found another set in black, for $50.00. Personally, I would not send it out unless you are going to do the entire shotgun. ...

Be Safe !!!

The person to ask is one that works for the company you are planning on sending your shotgun.

they said it sticks to both fine, I was just thinking wood is softer than synthetic and would be easier to scratch
