Tikka T3 Stainless in .300 WinMag
Hi guys,
Just looking for some opinions here. I found a Tikka T3 lite Stainless at a pawn shop with a Leopold Vx3 4.5-14x40 scope and a harris 1a2 bipod. Price was listed at $950. The caliber and all that is pretty much what I'm looking for. Condition of the rifle seemed pretty good. Does this seem like a good deal? Worth buying? It'll be used for anything from dear to black bear. Mostly hunting, not much shooting at the range. Thanks, Sam |

I could get my local gun shop to order one from impact guns for $678 and they would charge me 10% markup on it, with the firearm transfer fee i could have one for a little under $800.
I guess with a leupold scope on it and a bipod, you are coming out pretty good on it. Did you notice if it had leupold scope rings on it? |

Thanks for the replies.
I ended up going back in today, did one final inspection and bought it. I got the guy to sell it to me out the door for $950, which in my area saved me around $90 in tax. Overall I'm happy about it. I'll post some pictures. Feel free to let me know how you think I did. Unfortunately I can't test it out til next weekend. |

I have a T3 Lite in 300WM and even with a Limbsaver it kicks like a mule. Good luck with it.

I have a T3 lite in .308, love that gun! But I hate those scope rings! If your gonna be taking shots over 200yds, I'd definitely look into getting better scope rings ......
But I'd say you made out pretty well with the price |

Nice looking rifle and with that scope you got a pretty good deal. I have a T3 in 300 WSM that is extremely accurate and have only used the factory rings. As I reload, I'm on my 6th box of bullets, so it's handled over 550 full load rounds and have never had a problem with the rings and the scope has never needed any adjustments after initial zero. Kick-Eez and Limbsaver make pre-fit recoil pads for the T3 Lite, and highly recommend either one.
