Min COAL for 9mm 125 gr LRN
I'm hoping someone has a manual laying around that has the data I'm looking for as none of my manuals cover this...
I'm loading 9mm Luger with a Lee 6-gang, 125 gr lead round nose cast boolit (Part # 90457). My manuals say that the MAXIMUM OAL is 1.169" (a few other manuals say max is 1.165"). However, if I load these bullets between 1.165" and 1.169", the taper crimp catches inside the lube groove, and then the bullet doesn't lock in appropriately. I've seen people say that they load these same bullets as deep as 1.067" to 1.125", but I'm very concerned about increasing the CUP too much (don't want to do that). I searched Lee's web site high and low, but couldn't find anything at all. Would anyone have any MIN OAL measurements in their manuals for 125 gr lead round nose? Thanks, Rick |

but what powder?
With THAT bullet I recommend an OAL from 1.130--1.150".
I suggest testing start with 1.140".
