1st revolver

I am new here so first off, Hello everyone. I have gotten quite a few hours of amusement and good info so far here.

I recently decided to purchase a Revolver. I chose the Ruger GP100 because my Fiancee has a Charter Arms Lavender lady in .38SPL. I figure i can reload .38's and .357MAG (havnt got the equuipment or started yet).

I have the Gp100 on layaway and half paid off, just a few more weeks and I can bring it home.

You can't go wrong with the GP100. Good choice.

The GP-100 is great. I bought my wife a blued 4 inch many years ago and it just will not stop.

I also own a GP 100, this gun is built like a tank and very accurate. In my opinion it is the best revolver on the market.

Good investment, in my opinion. Smiths and Rugers are both excellent guns that should provide a lifetime of great performance, and both are backed by excellent service.

Is it bad the I can already house and feed it? Hate bringing a gun home without a holster and some ammo waiting for it.

I guess some people are happy with 2nd best.
GP-100 is a great gun. I was looking hard at it until I fondled my S&W.

Second best? I started my Fire arms owning career with a hi-point .40cal. It did exactly what it was designed for and people told me I bought second best, never had an issue with it. So calling a Ruger second best, as long as it does what it was designed to do, doesn't make me feel bad owning one at all. Just like everyone that bad mouths my XDm because its not a Glock.

There's nothing wrong with Rugers. They don't have the finish or smooth lines of Smiths, but they've got it where it counts and won't break the bank.

You really can't go wrong with the Ruger. I still have one, though not the blued 6" I started with. I have a 4" stainless and it carries much better in the field than the 6". I do miss the extra sight length though.
