You have most rounds thru...
What shotgun you own?
What Platform? Type of shooting? - SX1 has over 200k rds, Clay competitions, and you name a critter, from quail to deer, felled them too. Training for HD, Serious Defense, Some 3 gun...some..some I'd get a headache thinking about other shotguns...Citori 3 bbl set, another high rd count gun...lots of 28 ga. 870's, 1100s and single shots, and...and... You?

Most rounds through (shotguns)
I wish you hadn't asked! Got a Remington 1100 that has busted a lot of clays and a Russian over and under that can't seem to miss clays, all 12 guage, a couple of 20s one of which is a high dollar Browning, and a couple of .410s not wirth mention. Into high powered rifles right now...........

Hmmm,
I had a Ruger Red Label that I had well over 60,000 rounds through. Got rid of it to finance a trip. My 11-87 has probably 30-40 thousand rounds through it. Then would be my Beretta 682 with a good 20 thousand and assortted others like my 1100 20 gauge that I have had since I was 16. It may have as many as 25 thousand rounds through it. 6 or 8 other guns with many thousands through them.

Darnfino, Steve. Maybe 20K from the TB, Frankenstein's not far behind, maybe 15K from my oldest 870s and so on.
Remember I didn't really get into clay sports until 4 years ago. |

I've got a Ruger Red Label with over 80K through it, about 40K through an 870, about 35K through an X2, a Gold 20 with about 20K through it, and sold off some other high mileage guns.
Nearly all of the shotshell rounds I have fired in the last 10 years have been at clay targets, skeet and sporting clays specifically with the odd round of trap thrown in. I generally shoot less than a case of ammo per year hunting and less than a case on the patterning boards. |

Who counts???
I have gone through two 12lb kegs and 4 4lb cans of 700X reloading for my K80 when I shot regularly. Also several dozen 100rd value packs of federals and maybe 10 cases of Remington sts/nitro 27 at shoots.

Who Counts?
I did some quick math. Shot Trap heavily for 5 years, at least 250 rounds per week, 50 weeks per year, for five years. Not counting the days I'd shoot more, plus all the sporting clays I did, the skeet shooting on weekends, hunting, and turkey shoots.

I dunno... in the thousands.(Buck/slugs/shot) 870 Marine Magnum. Looks/functions like the day I bought it and is as smooth as glass. Going on 8 years or so.

Wow, the shell count on the shotgun that I have put the most shells through doesn't even come close to most of you. But I've never really shot trap except informally as a warmup for hunting, never shot skeet, or sporting clays. I guess I could estimate about 500 a year for a little over 30 years through the High Standard 12 gauge pump my dad bought me. The count wouldn't even be that high, except that when it is dove season and they are flying in you can sure burn through a lot of shells in a hurry. I've gone as high as 10 straight on pheasants, and tripled one time on a pointed and flushed covey of quail, but doves can sure make a guy feel humble.
