Bulk bullets in the Portland OR area?

Anybody know anywhere in the Portland OR or Vancouver WA area that sells bulk bullets. I'm looking for lead for my .45 and jacket for my .40. I want to buy between 500 and 1000 for each.

Shipping from Midway will cost me about 20% of the cost of the merchandise.

I'd be willing to go as far as Eugene. I always need an excuse to go to West Brothers BBQ.

Thanks.

funny you should mention that. I was just getting ready to do a web search for when the next gun show in town would be.

Have you had good luck finding deals on components at the shows?

Only use Oregon Trail lead bullets and sometime venders have them for sale at the same price as ordering direct less shipping charges.

This may be a little late but I've got a source for West Coast plated's in the Medford area that sells them for $20/500. Found him at a gun show a while back, he says he can do Winchester powders dirt cheap also.

Mike,

Thanks. Collector's West is having a show out in Hillsboro tommorow. Maybe I'll run into your guy there? Can you post his name?

Regards,
David

You owe me BIG for this. I had to go and get his bus card out of my wifes wallet while she's sleeping.

Cascade Precision Bullets
James Frings
Jacksonville OR,
541-899-8890

IIRC he was telling me he has his W-W powders down to the $11.XX per pound range.

If nothing else give him a call and see if he's going to be close enough that you can make the drive to wherever worth it.

Mike:

I do owe you big. Any man willing to enter his wife's purse to help somebody out is a good man indeed! I will give this guy a call and see if he will be at the rose city show on DEC 14-15. The Collector's West show today was pitiful. There were maybe 20 tables and no reloading supplies to be found with the exception of primers.

Tony:

I will pay NW Armory a visit as well. I've only been there once, before I started reloading. I was put off by a snotty clerk and haven't been back since. I'll give them another try.

Thanks guys,
David

That is the reason I have never bought a gun from them. I also seem to pull a smartass sales clerk when I go there. But they were a cheap place to get Oregon Trail Bullets without waiting or paying for shipping.

Good luck.

If you ever want to go in on a large order of plated bullets from West Coast Bullets and save some money. I am in Vancouver Wa Shoot me an Email.
