I need to remove the bolt on a Mossburg 500 so I can drill and tap for a ghost ring set-up and give it a good cleaning. Whats the drill for bolt removal? It looks to me like drifting out the pin for the trigger assembly and pulling it first might be the place to start. Ive got the barrel off. Should I unscrew the Mag tube also? If someone could give me the step (1, (2)...etc I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks Tom |

Disassembly is the easy part.
Remove the trigger group, position the forearm midway, remove the bolt follower, then remove everything else, until it doesn't rattle shen you shake it.
Reassembly, now that's the hard part. Either get a manual free from Mossberg, or do a search for "mossberg assembly disassembly" on Google. |
