A gift: Aimtech Warhammer

A friend of mine bought me an aimtech warhammer heat shield/scope mount for my shotgun (maverick 88 18.5"). I was wondering what you guy's thoughts on it were, and if anyone had any experience with it.

It is quite mall ninja-ish, but it would serve as a great monolithic scope mount.

Thanks- Brodady

Well... I guess that if you need a few feet or 1913 rail, you could do worse, for free.

Seriously, if it doesn't do anything exceptionally stupid, like add 3 lbs, and you like it... who cares, right?

Cheers,
C

It doesn't add an Insane amount of weight, with it on, it feels about as balanced as my AR does and they weigh nearly the same now too. I guess I'll head to Wally world and pick up some blue locktite for the barrel clamp screws

If you don't have one... and you like to work on guns, pick yourself up a Wheeler FAT torque screwdriver. An inexpensive, adjustable 10-65 in.lb. screwdriver with bits for about $40. Makes the potential for damaging aluminum threads nearly impossible.

Have fun,
C
