i like the sten kits and would like to get a few kits to sock away for a rainy day But i have some questions first 1 who has good ones at a decent price? 2 who has the compliance parts 3 how many compliance parts am i going to need? 4 i assume ill need a new barrel to make it legal who makes barrels for these?or is here an extension i can get to make it legal? 5 best place and price for mags? 6 Is it possible for me to make my own receiver out of pipe? and does anyone have a good template for it? 7 $ what are the kits going for these days? 8 which type of sten is good and which ones to stay away from?I like the skeleton stocked ones the best. i didnt relize these were going for $250 a kit. what happened to the $79.00 kits? i would really appreciate any and all help. these have facinated me for a long time but do to work obligations i never pulled the trigger on these kits. now i have time and want to try my hand at them. what about sterlings? are they easier to build?Cheaper to purchase? compliance parts easy to get? easy to get a tube and template?

I haven't seen a Sten kit in years...
I don't know if there is a legal Sten you can build, as the template for the reciever tube will be for the NFA full auto version, based on the one kit I saw about 22 years ago. Good luck on finding the stuff! I think there is/was a company making semi-auto Stens, disremember the name. |
