Sears Model 80 - Who made it?

22pic1.jpg

Good morning folks. New to the forum. Thanx for letting me post!

I have done some spring cleaning lately and came across this 22LR that I had forgotten I had. Markings should show in the pics pretty well, but they are as such:

Sears (square trademark) Sears Model 80 - Cal. 22LR Only
Made in Canada for Simpsons Sears LTD.
Ser # of TT037384

I don't see any other markings other than the word safe above the Round Grip on the bolt. Safety is operated by pushing this bolt grip in and disengaged by pulling it out.

I have no mags for this gun and I would like to put some rounds through it.

Any ideas from the masses on who would be the manufacturer and where a guy might get some magazines for it?

Thanx in advance! Kevin

FWIW, I think it says Model 8C
Most likely made by Savage...

Here's some interesting links...

Outstanding man! Thanx a lot. I had it narrowed to 4 manufactures, one being Savage, but for the life of me I couldn't get it zeroed in any closer. Really appreciate it!

Cool... I don't know if you checked out the Savage Store on that site... They show the (64 series) magazines in stock for $20+ handling:

I'm only assuming they're the same... it's been a lot of years...

Cooey Winchester Model 64B

I finally found it!

http://milpas.cc/rifles/ZFiles/Unite...del%2064B.html

Talked to an Alberta Gun Shop and they said the mag I got for the Savage 64 should work. Guess I'm after a gunsmith now!

Thanx for the help!
